TRX Fitness
Classes Coming Soon to Edge Gymnastics!
TRX
Suspension Training is a workout using your
own body weight to build strength,
flexibility, balance, and core stability,
all at once!
Edge
will initially offer 30-minute classes. We
are in the process of developing our schedule,
so let us know if you are interested and what
times are best for
you!

Devolopment and Team girls as they
represent our gym!

Camps at Edge this
summer have been a huge hit so
far!

We still have room in
some summer camps! Call our office to reserve
your child's
spot!
They will
learn gymnastics skills as well as creating arts
and crafts, playing games, and enjoying free
time in the foam pit. We provide a snack to
everyone; full day campers should bring a lunch.
Each week will provide an exciting theme
providing focus and fun. We will take
a trip down to the park for a
special outside activity each
week.

was little and I was on the Las Lomas High
School gymnastics team.
What other sports did you
do? I did ballet for 12
years, swim team for 5 years and little league
baseball for 6 years

What is your funniest
gymnastics memory? On my high
school team we had a gymnast who was very
flexible and when our coach left the gym for a
minute we had her lay on the ground and bend her
body kind of crazy and told the coach she fell
off the bar.

2012 U.S. Olympic Team
Trials
Coming to San
Jose!
The U.S. Olympic Team Trials,
USA Gymnastics' "crown jewel" and most
prestigious event will be held at the HP
Pavillion in San Jose next summer!
This four-day event showcases USA's best
gymnasts as they vie for the honor of
representing the United States on
the world's biggest stage, the Olympic
Games.
Edge
Gymnastics is offering ticket
sales through the Gym Club Ticket Sales Program,
providing priority seating at discounted pricing
in a block reserved for Edge!

News
New Open
Gym Time!
Open Gym for children 5 and under is
now scheduled at 11am to 12pm
on Fridays. Bring your
little one to join the fun!
Pre-School
Calendars
Check out our new pre-school calendar. You
will receive it in class, and it is also located
on the pre-school program bulletin
board. It's filled with information
regarding important gym dates,
reminders, the skill of the
week, and word of the week. There are
also some fun gymnastics activities to
try at

Edge Attends Region One
Training
Camp
Edge Level 4, 5, 6, 7,
and 8 gymnasts
participated in the Region One Training Camp in
Belmont Saturday, June 26 and Sunday, June
27. We worked with some terrific
clinicians who had combined experience of over
400 years!!
Edge
Athletes Test for
TOPs
Three
Edge athletes participated in NorCal
TOPs testing on June 13th and June 25th.
TOPs (Talent Opportunity Program) is a program
designed by USA Gymnastics to identify and
develop young, talented, gymnasts.
Athletes across the country compete in the
testing, vying for an invitation to the National
TOPs testing held at the National Team
Training Center outside of Houston, Texas.
Congratulations to Kelley
Hebert, who earned a perfect score on
handstand hold and bridge at both tests, to
Gaby Rego, who earned a perfect
score on splitz, bridges, and handstand hold,
and Samantha Fredrickson who
earned a perfect score on leg lifts and bridge
at both tests. the next TOPs test will be
held on July 18th in Concord.
